The ideal candidate: 1. can bang out smart angles on big news as it unfolds, while also juggling short and medium term features and columns. 2. Can distill complex topics into sharp, conversational writing for a large general audience in a manner that informs and delights.
This reporter must be willing to experiment with new formats and platforms for telling stories, willing to chip in on breaking news as part of a collaborative newsroom.
We’re looking for someone with at least five years of reporting experience, a passion for business and financial news, and the color green.
The position will ideally be based in New York, but we will consider candidates from elsewhere if you can make a case that your location can be an asset to our coverage.
