Mainebiz, Maine’s business news source, is looking for a full-time Staff Writer based in Maine.
Mainebiz is looking for a savvy reporter that can cover real estate development- anchoring our Thursday Real Estate Insider, as well as general business topics. We are looking for someone who can write analysis and trend stories for print, but also turn stories around quickly for our Daily newsletter, which is a compilation of the day’s top stories.
We are a small edit team that produces a lot of content, so we need someone with energy and a passion for the work. It’s a full-time position with benefits such as health care, vacation & sick days, and more.
Portland-based Mainebiz is Maine’s leading source of business news, covering the entire state from Kittery in the south to Fort Kent in the north. We have a print edition that comes out every two weeks, as well as annual publications like the Fact Book, Book of Lists, Giving Guide and Work for ME.
We also have four digital newsletters: the Daily, which presents the day’s top stories; two Real Estate Insiders on deals and development; and the Weekly Report. Mainebiz also produces events which the editorial staff is expected to take part in. These events include panel discussions, “On the Road” visits to regions around Maine, and awards.
