Know the Amalfi Coast inside out? Looking for new writers to work with Lonely Planet about this region. Ideally, you should be living there or travelled it extensively in the last 18 months.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Ever since company founders Tony and Maureen Wheeler stapled together their first guidebook after an epic trip across Asia, Lonely Planet has put travellers at the heart of everything we do, informing and inspiring them with trusted content for print and digital from experts who visit every destination.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  • $150- $1,000-  Our rates run from $150 for simple news stories to $1,000 for complex features, with lots of variance in between depending on the assignment and the writer’s expertise. New writers usually start with a small (paid) assignment but there’s potential for a lot of work. For destinations we also assign larger batches of work where possible.
