Little Rock paper seeks Walmart beat reporter

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is looking for a beat reporter to cover Walmart Inc. who will work in our Springdale newsroom near Walmart’s world headquarters in Bentonville. The world’s largest retailer generates a steady stream of byline stories, many for the front page.

The position is also responsible for coverage of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, founded by Walmart heiress Alice Walton.

We welcome enterprise reporting, whether it’s a weekend story about trends in retail or features on some of the personalities involved.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is a family-owned newspaper with statewide circulation. It is based in Little Rock, the capital city, and is the largest news organization in the state.

If you want the challenge of  covering a global retail leader and all of its associated businesses, please send a letter, resume and clips to Jim Kordsmeier, at  jkordsmeier@arkansasonline.com
