Lima News in Ohio seeks business reporter

Are you a multi-media journalist who is full of ideas and enjoys digging up your own stories instead of waiting for an editor to send you off to a local motorcycle safety press conference?  Do you dare try something new and different?

If so, The Lima News – an award-winning newspaper in West Central Ohio – would love to hear from you. We are seeking a Business reporter who is a self-starter with a healthy competitive streak. Job candidates need the skills to be able to chase down and write a hard news story and the creativity and insights to dazzle readers with a compelling feature.  A commitment to fairness and accuracy is essential.  Our newsroom works hard, but has fun.

We offer a great staff and a competitive salary and benefits package. We are a mid-size newspaper (21,000-daily, 23,500-Sunday) with an excellent reputation for solid journalism, winning AP General Excellence awards eight out of the last 10 years.

Candidate should have one to two years experience, but we will consider new college graduates who had strong internships.

To apply, send or e-mail your resume, cover letter and 5 to 10 writing/reporting samples (a mix of hard news and features) to:
