KPCW in Park City, Utah, has an opportunity for a seasoned journalist who is looking to live in one of the most beautiful areas of the country next to world-renowned ski resorts in a community that enthusiastically supports public radio and local news.
KPCW is the main daily source of live, local news in Summit and Wasatch counties. An NPR affiliate, the station is known for its flagship show, The Local News Hour; its excellent website, kpcw.org; and its new Monday – Friday newsletter, “The Local.”
With a newsroom of six full-time journalists and two part-time journalists, this public radio station punches above its weight. Our area is one of the fastest-growing in the country– and the news is plentiful.
The News Director will lead the day-to-day operations of KPCW’s newsroom, assigning reporters, approving content for on air and online, and doing some reporting of their own. The News Director may be asked to anchor newscasts, host programs, and help during station fundraising activities.
