KPC Media seeks a general assignment reporter

KPC Media, a multi-newspaper organization in northeast Indiana, is looking for two reporters for general assignment reporting in our daily newspaper offices in Angola and LaGrange County in Indiana.

Successful candidates should possess:

  • An ability to develop rapport with a variety of sources on a range of story topics.
  • A track record of exercising good news judgment, breaking stories outside of news releases.
  • Demonstrated productivity and still skilled at reporting accurately and writing compelling daily and enterprise stories that inform and engage readers.
  • A team player who can work well with other reporters, editors and others on staff.
  • An interest in social media.
  • An interest in professional growth and career development. Experience with spreadsheets and databases is a plus.

These reporters also have the opportunity to write a variety of news stories, news features and more in-depth stories that will resonate with readers.
