The Kokomo Tribune, a 20,000-circulation daily newspaper in north central Indiana, is looking for a business reporter to join its team.

Kokomo is a city with major employers whose successes and failures have made national headlines. As our business reporter, you’ll get a chance to cover it all here. From manufacturing to economic development to unions to nonprofits to big business to mom-and-pop enterprises, there’s no shortage of good stories here.

We strive to provide our readers with the best every day, and we expect our reporters to meet that standard. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community news but constantly be working on that next big story. He or she will have a proven track record of juggling multiple projects, as well as be a strong writer and solid reporter. He or she will look beyond the meeting and dig deeper. Also, the ability to cultivate and maintain a beat is a must.

We also publish a glossy magazine, so you’ll have a chance to flex your feature-writing muscles as well.

If you think you have what it takes to join our team, send a cover letter telling us why, along with five clips of your best work and a resume, to Jeff Kovaleski, managing editor, 300 N. Union St., Kokomo, IN 46901; or email to jeff.kovaleski@kokomotribune.com
