Knoxville paper seeks assistant business editor

The Knoxville (Tenn.) News Sentinel is seeking an assistant business editor to lead a staff in print, online and breaking news coverage.

Business news is a successful franchise topic for the media company, and its properties include six daily business sections, knoxvillebiz.com, a monthly Business Journal and annual directory of local companies and organizations.

The assistant business editor will work with an executive business editor, as well as other section editors, and a dedicated staff of four multimedia journalists to create and execute print and online strategies.

The successful candidate will serve as a player/coach by creating content and also working with other editors in assigning, selecting, editing and publishing stories and associated photography and graphics.
