The Kiplinger Washington Editors Inc. seeks an experienced reporter to write personal finance and lifestyle features on all facets of planning for and living in retirement.

Our subscribers want impartial, timely information and advice on tax and estate planning, IRAs and pensions, insurance, long-term care, income-producing strategies, Medicare, Social Security, charitable giving, technology, and travel.

A successful candidate must understand government policies and regulations relating to retirement, and must also be able to cultivate sources, spot trends, and write easy-to-read, well-researched pieces.

In this role, the retirement reporter will produce high-quality, timely content in multiple platforms for consumption by a wide variety of users. In addition to writing for Kiplinger’s monthly print publications–including Kiplinger’s Retirement Report and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine–the successful applicant will work closely with and contribute to our award-winning website, www.kiplinger.com.

A bachelor’s degree and reporting experience are required. Subject area expertise in retirement topics and personal finance are highly desired plusses.

Kiplinger offers competitive benefits and a flexible, family-friendly work environment, and is part of the Dennis Publishing Ltd. family of brands. Send cover letter, resume, writing samples, and salary requirements to: HR@kiplinger.com.
