Key Media & Research seeks an editor/news writer

Key Media & Research, an award-winning, business-to-business media company in Northern Virginia, is seeking an editor/news writer.

The candidate;

• Should have 3-5 years of solid experience in an editorial position
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional writing skills
• Can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Will work on print, digital, visual and audio publications and some live events
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in journalism, communications or related field preferred.
• Construction and automotive are primary fields, but experience in these sectors is not required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working collaboratively with the editorial/content director as well as the art department to plan, prepare and produce print and digital magazines
• Writing features and news articles
• Writing/preparing an e-newsletter
• Social media
• Representing the publication at various trade shows, conferences and other events.

Traveling several times per year is required.
