Kerrville Daily Times seeks an assistant managing editor

The Kerrville (TX) Daily Times has an immediate opening for an experienced Copy Editor or current Assistant Managing Editor who wants to grow with our team.

Qualifications include:

  • Fluency in AP Style.
  • Ability to meet and enforce deadlines.
  • Willingness to collaborate on new projects.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in conversations regarding projects, daily budget and pithing stories.
  • Write an opinion piece or cover a news story on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to lead and work with others independently and as a part of a team.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign a must.
  • Bilingual a plus.

The Kerrville (TX) Daily Times is an award-winning community-based organization that is part of Southern Newspapers, Inc. Our newspaper publishes three times per week and produces several lifestyle magazines. You will be putting your skills to work on these projects in addition to our social media and overall web presence.
