Kerrville Daily Times seeks a managing editor

Do you have a passion for leading an award-winning team in community journalism? The Kerrville Daily Times, in Kerrville, TX, has an immediate opening for a managing editor.

We want you to bring your newsroom experience to contribute to the production of our newspaper’s print products, social media and overall web presence and participate in conversations to increase our reach. We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills who can work with multiple departments and individuals to collaborate on larger projects. Lead newsroom conversations on content and planning in an often fast-paced environment and motivate the team to file the best reports.

You will be the driving force behind our newspaper. An ideal candidate will be a leader and motivator with the knowledge, energy and creative abilities to meet our current high standards and propel us to the next level.

This is a full-time position with all of the perks: Medical, dental and optical insurance and optional add-ons; matching 401K; paid time off; and vacation and sick leave.
