Kansas City Star seeks business of health care reporter

The Kansas City Star’s breaking news team is seeking a business reporter focused on health care.

He or she would be expected to cover the health care business in Kansas City as well as health news and advice directed at consumers. Expertise in the Affordable Health Care Act and attempts to abolish or revamp it would be desirable.

This reporter must also have demonstrated competence in online journalism — quick writing, the robust use of social platforms, shooting basic video, and developing graphics.

While breaking news will be emphasized, enterprise spinning off the news will be encouraged. If interested, please contact Keith Chrostowski, The Star’s assistant managing editor for the news team, at [Click Here To Join] by Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
