We’re in search of talented, tech-savvy writers who understand the business/journalism beat and want to be part of a small, fast-paced, remote team. This position is ideal for a college student looking to build their portfolio, or a freelance journalist in search of additional work.
Required Skills:
– Outstanding writing skills
– Self-starter
– Familiarity with a content management system and/or ability to learn quickly
– Flexible work schedule: The bulk of our news-hounding is done in the morning, but may send some news items your way in the later part of the day
– A love for communication: Because we’re a remote team, we’re looking for someone who is quick to respond to emails and share the status of picking up stories that come through
– Familiarity with Twitter: You don’t need to have growth-hacking skills for this job; we just ask you understand how to navigate Twitter and repurpose headlines into Tweets with links.
