The Jacksonville Business Journal is seeking a reporter capable of establishing him or herself as the go-to source of news, data and perspective on the retail and technology industries in Jacksonville, Florida.
The ideal candidate will be able to marry strong traditional journalism skills – source building, sharp interviewing techniques, strong analytical and investigative reporting skills, clear writing and document use – with online and social media know-how. They are expected to contribute both short-form daily online posts and long-form feature and analysis pieces.
This beat focuses less on tech products and retail goods and more on the people, money and companies behind them.
The Jacksonville Business Journal is a daily online publication with a weekly print edition. As part of the American Cities Business Journals, we and our 42 sister papers make up the No. 1 source of local business news in the country.
If you blend conscientiousness with creativity and don’t like taking “no” for an answer, we’d like to hear from you. Send your resume and clips to Editor-in-Chief Timothy Gibbons at tgibbons@bizjournals.com .
