Jacksonville Biz Journal seeks a transportation reporter

May 22, 2019

Posted by Chris Roush

Transportation is one of the biggest industries on Florida First Coast — and we’re looking for a reporter who can build upon our award-winning coverage of the sector.

The job entails digging into the news at a seaport that is fighting to grow, an airport about to begin massive construction and a Class 1 railroad that is reshaping the industry, among other topics.

We need someone who is great at sourcing, enjoys delving into data and has a drive to help business leaders understand and compete in a fast-moving world. In return, we’ll give you the opportunity to break news for our daily report and do weekly deep dives and features about the people and issues that matter — as well as competitive pay and a great benefits package.

JBJ reporters have gone on to jobs elsewhere in American City Business Journals as well as at places like American Banker, the Journal of Commerce and other top-notch business publications.

If you have the enthusiasm, drive and talent to do that level of work, send an email explaining why you’re the person for the job to editor Tim Gibbons at tgibbons@bizjournals.com along with your resume and best clips.
