Investor’s Business Daily seeks copy editor

Investor’s Business Daily is seeking a full-time copy editor for its Los Angeles headquarters. The right candidate will have a strong interest in business and the stock market, a firm grasp of numbers and a passion for accuracy, clarity and engaging writing.

Speed is essential to meet rolling deadlines for the newspaper and its companion website, Investors.com. Familiarity with Web-friendly writing principles, content presentation and SEO is helpful. Pagination skills also are a plus.

Investor’s Business Daily is a national newspaper and financial website known for innovative coverage and fact-based analysis of the stock market, economy, business and public policy. We offer an environment that encourages and rewards learning and professional growth, the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of how to invest successfully, and a location in sunny and dynamic West Los Angeles.

Three years of copy editing or other relevant journalism experience preferred but will consider other candidates with strong skills. A four-year college degree is required. Qualified applicants must complete an editing test.

Submit resume, cover letter and any writing samples to IBDnewsjobs@investors.com. Writing samples can be attached as Word documents or PDFs or pasted into the message. Please put Copy Editor in the email subject field.
