Investopedia seeks director of audience engagement

You are consumed with social media and mastering the ability to use it to engage our millions of users and the millions who should enjoy our content. You love content analytics and can see through dizzying amounts of data to find solutions and opportunities.

In addition to being a data hound, you are ambitious, innovative, creative, and have a solid knowledge of the financial markets and experience in digital publishing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities include:

  • Running our audience engagement efforts to increase growth of our unique visitors, site circulation, social media reach and engagement
  • Work closely with the editorial team to develop, produce and distribute content across our high audience target areas via email, social media and other channels
  • Ability to analyze content analytics via Google Analytics, Chartbeat and other tools to identify opportunities and discover solutions to improve performance
  • Monitor traffic and editorial metrics across all channels to make sure we are engaging the right audiences with the right content at scale.
  • Identify and implement engagement strategies via social media and other platforms that are ahead of the curve and help us gain a competitive edge

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of digital experience
  • Superior Excel skills
  • A mastery of Google Analytics, Chartbeat and/or competitive product
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to mine traffic and content performance reports to identify weaknesses in our production and engagement efforts, and come up with test-able solutions to remedy them
