Investopedia seeks crypto and blockchain editor

Investopedia is seeking an experienced cryptocurrency and blockchain editor to ensure our news and evergreen content effectively demystifies cryptocurrency and blockchain. We are seeking a true expert with a passion for the subject. Must have a solid background in editing news and educational content.

About the Role: 

You will be responsible for making sure we have the most thorough, well-researched, and inclusive crypto and blockchain news and evergreen content that educates and empowers readers from all walks of life. The content you shape must be filled with actionable advice that gives readers the perspective they need to manage their financial lives. You should be able to explain Bitcoin, how it works, where it came from, and what is happening in the markets today in easily understandable terms to to translate that knowledge into compelling content.

This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most creative, growing publishers in finance media. Reporting to the Editorial Director, Trading and Investing, you will play a key role in creating compelling content that serves our readers with integrity.

About Your Contributions:

  • Work with the Editorial Director and senior editors to develop first-in-class crypto and blockchain content to educate and inform readers and prepare them for actionable advice
  • Source and on-board high-quality new freelance writers as subject matter experts
  • Assign, edit, and publish timely news and analysis
  • Function as subject-matter expert for crypto, blockchain, and future of finance content

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
