Investment News seeks wirehouse reporter

October 30, 2015

Posted by Chris Roush

Investment News is the leading information source for financial advisers. Our mission is to provide the financial advisory community with the highest quality news, analysis and industry intelligence — whenever, however and wherever they need it.

Investment News is seeking an aggressive Wall Street reporter to cover wirehouses and registered investment advisers.

This highly coveted beat focuses on two types of firms:  Wall Street’s largest brokerages – Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, UBS and Wells Fargo – along with thousands of smaller registered investment advisory firms.

These firms account for a significant portion of the U.S. wealth management industry – IN’s bread and butter audience. The reporter will be half of a high-profile team, competing against the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Reuters and other industry trade publications. We’re looking for a reporter to write daily stories for our website and cover in-depth trend stories, profiles and enterprise pieces for our weekly print publication.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to cover either one or both of these beats. Qualities we are looking for include an ability to cultivate sources, break stories and handle more challenging long-form pieces.

Candidates should also be adept at using social media to engage with readers and leaders in the industry.
