The International Business Times is seeking a seasoned, aggressive, tireless editor with proven news budget and a keen sense of the Web to oversee its growing breaking news report.

The ideal candidate is consumed with news in all its incremental glory yet equally intent on diving why the minutiae matters and distilling it for general readers while identifying angles for further reporting.

Must be well-versed in politics, business and world affairs wih an equal measure of sports, culture and entertainment. Must be comfortable juggling four or five major stories at once while supervising a team of a dozen writers and sometimes jumping in to write the big story.

This is not a job for those looking to play solitaire or take long lunches, but for the editor looking for a seat in the dead center of the digital action. This job is that and then some– a guaranteed insurance policy against boredom.

Interested applicants should send a cover letter, clips and resume to Mark Bonner at m.bonner@ibtimes.com. Subject line should read, “Breaking News Editor.”
