International Business Times seeks an editor of MedicalDaily.com

MedicalDaily.com, a leading online health news and information site, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Editor to lead our team of writers and help shape the editorial direction of our website. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of health and wellness issues, a passion for creating high-quality content, and a proven track record of managing a varied source of content creators.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily content creation process, ensuring that all articles are accurate, timely, and meet MedicalDaily.com’s and Medical Content best practices.
  • Manage and mentor a team of writers, providing guidance and feedback to help them develop their skills and produce high-quality content.
  • Set up a network of Contributors made of Doctors and other Medical professionals to become a key part of the content offering.
  • Develop and execute an editorial strategy that aligns with MedicalDaily.com’s mission and goals.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to stay up-to-date on the latest health news and trends.
  • Represent MedicalDaily.comat industry events and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a digital editorial role, with a proven track record of managing and mentoring a team of writers.
  • A deep understanding of health and wellness issues, with a strong background in medical writing.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating engaging content.
  • Experience with SEO best practices and the ability to write headlines and article summaries that grab readers’ attention.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and other web analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with writers, editors, and other members of the team.
  • A strong work ethic, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
