The International Business Times, one of the world’s fastest-growing news sites, is looking for two Front Page Editors based in New York City.
The ideal candidates will have experience at a respected publication running the homepage or a major vertical of a news website. We’re looking for leaders with rock solid news judgment who are adept at delivering under pressure, making quick decisions and working in a high-visibility environment.
This position requires a news junkie with a knack for content strategy who can juggle many things at once — from rewriting headlines and choosing captivating photos to assigning stories and alerting senior editors to breaking news.
Experience as a news website producer and/or journalist is a plus. Our ideal candidates for the position are digital natives who are perfectly at ease with the pace of the Internet; have demonstrated experience with SEO best practices; are social media savvy; have basic HTML and Photoshop skills; possess excellent copy editing skills and are obsessed about being accurate in all things they do.
You must also be a professional, effective manager and able to mentor young reporters.
