The International Business Times, a leading source of real-time news and intelligence about the global and national economies, seeks an aggressive, enterprising and competitive beat writer to anchor our retail and fashion reporting on our Money team.
The position is based in our newsroom in New York. The ideal candidate brings an obsession with retail trends, fashion style, labor issues, marketing, and the changing ways of commerce in the digital age.
This is a job for a news junkie who can keep us ahead of the pack on major breaking news, while simultaneously crafting long-form profiles, trend pieces and, potentially, investigative projects. Previous experience reporting on these subjects is preferable but by no means required, but must demonstrate mastery of some high-profile beat and bring a commitment to master this realm.
Ability to break news and meet deadlines a must.
