International Biz Times seeks economics reporter

January 11, 2015

Posted by Chris Roush

The International Business Times is eager to add a top-flight economic writer to explore the changes underway in the American economy and the globe.

The ideal candidate brings a demonstrated ability to dive into data and come back lucid explanations for what is unfolding along with engaging stories for a general interest readership.

The job could not be more wide-ranging, affording an opportunity to write about inequality, the labor market and the changing nature of work, health care, education, manufacturing, housing and real estate, along with finance. Several years of reporting experience is a must, but economic expertise is not required.

What is essential is a willingness to dig deeply in search of answers to important economic questions while serving up a mix of analysis, enterprise and news stories. Some travel is likely. Language skills are a bonus though not required. If interested, please send clips and resume to business editor John Simons at j.simons@ibtimes.com.
