The International Business Times, one of the world’s fastest-growing news sites, is looking for a Deputy Business Editor, based in New York City.
The ideal candidate will have experience at a respected publication running a team of reporters toward the goal of delivering a comprehensive, authoritative and forward thinking daily business report.
We’re looking for an editor who can help us recruit top quality reporters, manage, edit and write impactful, gripping narratives. Deep knowledge of Wall Street, banking, finance and international economics is a plus, but we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds who can manage a large team and create irresistible journalism.
We’re looking for experience both in the newsroom and in the field, a solid command of the best practices of American journalism and the ability to function well in a multicultural and multigenerational context. Our ideal candidates for the position are those who can help drive coverage, keep us obsessively on top of the news and moving swiftly to execute smart angles off the news.
You must be a gracious, effective manager and able to mentor young reporters. Please send a resume, cover letter and clips to Mark Bonner, Managing Editor, at m.bonner@ibtimes.com
