Candidates for the data/graphics reporter position should have experience creating compelling infographics, handling data and mapping. A strong candidate will have a keen news sense and knows why word clouds are the worst.
Must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML and CSS, working with data (both large databases and a PDF table) and mapping. Being Internet savvy and having experience in SEO and writing are a must.
Awesome but not essential skills include: javascript (especially d3.js), APIs and webscraping, Python, illustration and photography. If your skillset varies from what’s listed here but you still think you’d be a great fit for the job convince us with your cover letter and work samples.
