Insider Inc.’s Reviews team is hiring a VPN freelance writer to help us grow our coverage. Insider Reviews offers helpful shopping advice and recommends only the best products and services to our readers.
The VPN freelance writer will write reviews, buying guides, explainers, comparisons, and more to help our readers shopping for a VPN or wanting to learn more about their features. There will also be opportunities for them to write international How to Watch content that enables our global audience to take advantage of VPN technology to see live events, movies, and TV content from anywhere in the world.
They will collaborate with our Senior Commerce Director to create a wealth of search-optimized coverage that helps readers make smart buying decisions. They will specifically focus on regularly writing VPN reviews and buying guides as new products and services are released or updated.
The ideal candidate already has a background in the VPN and digital security space. They also have excellent writing, researching, and fact-checking skills, are focused and detailed, and have a passion for service journalism. They are confident and careful when reviewing any product or service and can describe the pros and cons of it with conviction while keeping Insider’s voice, style, and audience top of mind.
This is not an entry-level role — at least 2-3 years of experience writing about VPN is a must. Writers will be paid between $100-$550 per story.
VPN coverage includes: comprehensive research and reviews of various VPN apps across multiple platforms, Vs posts, specific scenario-testing, and more.
