The Fitness Tech & Wearables freelance writer will write reviews, buying guides, comparisons, and much more to help our readers navigate when shopping online.
They will collaborate with the Fitness Tech editor to create a wealth of search-optimized coverage that helps readers make smart decisions with their money. They will specifically focus on writing wearable reviews and buying guides on a regular basis as new products and services come out.
The ideal candidate has a background in the fitness and wearable space. They also have excellent writing, researching, and fact-checking skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, are focused and detailed, and have a passion for service journalism. They are confident and careful when reviewing any product or service and can describe the pros and cons of it with conviction while keeping Insider’s voice, style, and audience top of mind.
This is not an entry-level role — at least 2-3 years of experience writing in the fitness space is a must. Writers will be paid between $250-$500 per story.
Fitness tech coverage includes: Fitness trackers, wearables, and smartwatches, as well as their compatible apps and accessories.
