The successful candidate will be a sharp business journalist and writer, who has experience telling stories visually in video–and has a strong desire to continue to do so. This person will also be a strategic data-driven thinker, always looking for new ways to grow Inc.’s video audience.
This role is part of the Inc. Video team, and works closely with the Inc.com editorial and social media teams. The job is based in New York.
Responsibilities:
Produce and edit original Inc. videos
Write smart, engaging headlines and copy for all Inc. videos
Manage and organize the daily publication of Inc. videos on Inc.com, as well as the promotion on social media.
Review and give feedback on Inc. videos before publication
Propose ideas for new videos, and work on developing pilots for new video series
Study and report on Inc. video analytics, like traffic and share data, to make recommendations to improve videos and headlines
Requirements:
Bachelors degree
1-3 years experience in digital media, ideally as a business reporter or social media editor
Previous experience with Premiere Pro and Photoshop
Knowledge of After Effects and DSLR cameras a plus
Passionate about expanding skills in digital media
Desire to use data to understand content performance and inform new content strategies
Experience with a standard web content management system and a standard video player (we use Kaltura)
