In These Times is looking for writers looking for essays, short stories, photo essays and graphic literature that explore and interrogate the ways race, gender, sexuality and/or disabilities intersect with class and politics.

A strong democracy depends on healthy debate, and In These Times is one of only a handful of independent media projects fighting to widen the terms of national discussion. WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION
- Write a short introduction about yourself
- Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
- Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.
COMPENSATION
- $250-800- Word count is usually 750-2,000 but can be shorter for photo essays and graphic literature
