Illinois paper seeks business editor

Shaw Media is looking for a dynamic business editor to lead business coverage at the Northwest Herald. This person will work with other newsroom staff to provide daily business content from McHenry County for web and print products.

We are committed to providing business news in a variety of formats. The business editor will be the face of the newspaper in the business community.

The right candidate will be organized and able to juggle short- and long-term deadlines. He or she should be comfortable mentoring reporters, have solid AP Style and grammar skills, and understand the importance of digital journalism and social media’s role in it. InDesign experience a plus but not necessary. Good organizational skills a must.

Shaw Media offers an extensive benefit package.

Please send a cover letter that explains your journalism credentials and philosophy, along with a résumé and work samples, to: EditorialRecruitment@shawmedia.com
