Illinois paper seeks a business reporter

The Herald & Review and herald-review.com is looking for a versatile business reporter to own coverage of the economy and jobs in Central Illinois.

This position is ideal for a journalist who can turn earnings reports and trade terms into engaging, people-focused content that moves the bar. Areas of focus will include agriculture, real estate, health care, workforce development and manufacturing.

Our newsroom values enterprising journalism that surprises, has impact and connects with readers, as well as breaking news that drives the day’s conversation in our community.

Experience in social media, video and analytics are highly preferred.

The Herald & Review is in Decatur, Illinois, about halfway between Chicago and St. Louis, and we offer a beautiful lake, active downtown and plenty of recreational opportunities.

The Herald & Review and Lee Enterprises Inc. are an equal opportunity employer.
