Idaho Business Review seeks web editor

Idaho Business Review is Idaho’s leading business-to-business publication, with a weekly printed newspaper, a website that is updated daily, and a large special publications and business awards program. IBR is is searching for a web editor to implement our online strategy, manage our website, and carry out other duties as asked.

The web editor will be responsible for planning, generating and editing online content for the IBR website and social media. The web editor will also work with the sales department to coordinate online ads and work with the marketing department to assist with web, mobile and social media marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate will have proven drive, enthusiasm, creativity and curiosity about what is going on in the local business world; experience with working independently and also as a part of a closely knit team; and proven comfort with marketing and social media. Experience with photography and video editing and production is a plus.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
