IBTimes seeks breaking news reporter

The International Business Times is seeking a breaking news reporter who can write about a wide range of topics, particularly finance and economics.

This job calls for the successful candidate to write a mix of breaking news and enterprise stories with nationwide and global appeal.

DUTIES:

  • Write breaking news stories as well as rewrite content from other credible media outlets
  • Pitch enterprise ideas on a range of topics
  • Collaborate with other team members as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional writing skills — clean and compelling – and solid knowledge of AP style
  • A strong understanding of the need to work smart and fast in a digital newsroom
  • The abilities to both multitask – juggle daily and enterprise stories – and shift priorities and/or story focus as the news shifts
  • Ability to work well with others in a virtual workspace

This contract position is remote.
