Hyde Interactive Inc. seeks a reporter

We are searching for a Reporter to join the hottest news platform in West Texas. San Angelo LIVE! has an audience of 80,000 viewers in our market area and 400,000 viewers statewide. When you’re on our team, your work will be noticed!

The Reporter position requires a different mindset that a corporate media employee. We work as a team with clearly defined goals on audience engagement and growth. We’re a small team and everyone has a necessary contribution.

As a member of our team you will:

  • Participate in morning strategy and tactics meeting that will define the day’s objectives and you will have a large say in what those goals will be
  • Make your own contacts within the specified area of your beat, whether that be in business, at city hall or the chambers of the school board
  • Maintain a watchful eye on interesting happenings within the wider Concho Valley area and report on matters important for our audience to know
  • Report on crime and crashes as necessary

We are looking for these skills:

  • Ability to write and desire to always be improving communications skills
  • Ability to quickly gather information and publish stories
  • Aggressiveness to get the story, especially breaking news

We strongly desire experience with

  • HTML markup language
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • We are a Mac OS company, so Macintosh computer is your tool
  • Video editing on Premiere
