Politico is hiring for an editor who will help lead its dynamic team of journalists who cover international trade and agriculture and food beats.
As the Trump administration continues to escalate battles here and abroad, Politico reporters are providing context and analysis to news that is reverberating in the world capitals and rural communities. The editor will assign and edit breaking news, plan special projects, and work across teams to deliver news in an engaging manner.
Additionally, the editor will also closely monitor news feeds, analyze direct daily newsletter coverage, assist in brainstorming sessions and mentor reporters.
Candidates must have five or more years of journalism experience to apply. Also, a Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, economics or a related field is needed. Applicants must also posses the skills for making complex subjects accessible, to juggle tight deadlines and must have the knowledge of digital platforms and experience with editing newsletters
