Houston Chronicle seeks real estate reporter

The Houston Chronicle, one of the largest regional newspapers in the U.S., seeks an experienced real estate reporter to cover one of the most challenging real estate markets in the nation.

We’re looking for someone who already writes compellingly about the commercial, industrial and residential  sectors, and who can demonstrate the ability to report critically on  a storm-struck region’s redevelopment.

Must be able to churn out a reliable stream of digital and social media posts  while constantly developing Page One quality enterprise stories.

This position is part of a three-person real estate team within a 20-person business news department that is committed to great journalism.

Please email cover letter, resume and clips by Sept. 18 to Business Editor Al Lewis at al.lewis@chron.com.
