Houston Chronicle seeks energy technology reporter

The Houston Chronicle is seeking an experienced reporter to take on an innovation beat that will focus on energy technology, the accelerating transition to clean energy, and the efforts of Houston’s critical oil and gas industry to make the transition.

This is a premiere, high-impact beat that will demand relentless reporting, sharp writing, smart enterprise and an appreciation for the massive changes faced by the oil industry and Houston. We need a nimble, digitally savvy reporter with the range to break news, identify trends, handle quick web posts and develop long-form stories.

The beat also will cover Houston’s small but earnest startup community and growing biotech sector.
