The Houston Chronicle is looking for a reporter to produce compelling stories about the economy.
We need someone who can navigate the numbers and the wonky theory. But more importantly, the successful candidate will show us how the economy is affecting the way we live.
Greater Houston provides the ideal setting for such a mission – a diverse, international metropolitan area anchored by some of the world’s largest energy companies, celebrated health institutions, a strong aerospace presence (NASA), fast-growing technology sector and the nation’s second-largest port.
We need a reporter who has demonstrated an ability to write engaging, sophisticated stories for digital and print platforms. This demanding mission requires an experienced hand – no rookies, please. Economics or business experience is a plus, but if you’re a sharp-minded journalist who wants to produce smart journalism, we want to hear from you.
