Houston Chronicle seeks an energy reporter

The Houston Chronicle seeks a reporter to join its team covering energy in the world’s energy capital. The beat is among the newspaper’s most important and competitive.

It requires a seasoned reporter who can develop sources at companies large and small, decipher regulatory filings, break news and identify industry trends before a long list of local and national competitors.

We are looking for an experienced business reporter who can develop compelling enterprise stories and hold a powerful industry accountable with thorough reporting and strong writing.

The job also requires versatility in writing quick online posts each day and adding multimedia components such as video and photo galleries.

Please send your resume and writing samples to assistant business editor Rob Gavin at rob.gavin@chron.com.
