Can you multitask like no one else? Do you love managing editorial projects, from assigning the stories to envisioning the graphics to writing the headlines that will catch business leaders’ eyes? Houston Business Journal has an exciting entry-level editor opportunity for a journalist looking to join an award-winning newsroom and high-paced environment.
The position involves being a producer and project manager across all of HBJ’s platforms — online, print and events.
The right candidate must be able to write, edit, proofread and assign stories with flair and accuracy, manage multiple projects and deadlines at once, and coordinate with other editors to help produce the weekly edition and online sections.
You will also serve as editor of HBJ’s daily Morning Edition email, aggregating and writing breaking news.
Must be proficient in AP style, and multimedia skills are preferred. Bachelor’s degree and experience in a newsroom are required. Email resume and clips to Candace Beeke at cbeeke@bizjournals.com. No phone calls.
