Hookshot Media is looking for game writers

I’m looking for pitches about classic games from all eras (not just decades ago). DM me if you have any ideas you’d like to see commissioned.

We’ll consider pitches from anywhere and the site isn’t live yet, so no deadline. Rates depend on the scope of the piece and the work involved (conducting interviews, transcription, travel, etc.).

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Based in the UK we publish our popular video game channels Nintendo Life, Push Square and Pure Xbox to an ever-growing international audience of readers, viewers and followers. Our team is made up of expert contributors from around the world that provide informed and engaging coverage of the video games industry to our enthusiastic and passionate audience.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  •  ~$135-$270 per article
