Hartford Business Journal seeks web editor

The Hartford Business Journal, an award winning business media organization, is looking for a web editor with a deep journalism background and social media skills.

The web editor will lead HBJ’s online news efforts and products including CT Morning Blend and HBJ Today. The right candidate must be able to meet tight, daily deadlines and long-term story deadlines.

Primary responsibilities will be writing, editing, and posting breaking news to the web (HartfordBusiness.com) and sending out our two daily e-newsletters.

CT Morning Blend is a news aggregation newsletter that publishes at 7:30 a.m. Responsibilities include finding the top business/government news stories from around the state and aggregating them in a morning newsletter. This position requires you to work early mornings.

HBJ Today is generated using staff and wire content. The web editor writes most of the content (usually 5 to 7 story briefs a day) and then sends the email at noon.

The position will also require writing news stories for print.

We’re looking for journalists with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience. A business journalism background is a plus. We offer full health, dental and other benefits and a competitive salary

Please send all resumes to jcoran@nebusinessmedia.com
