Greenwich Time seeks business reporter

Hearst Connecticut Media Group, a division of Hearst Corp., is seeking a business reporter to work at Greenwich Time daily newspaper in Fairfield County, Conn.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field, or the equivalent in experience in a newsroom setting. A background in business and an understanding of financial statements are desirable.

Successful candidates must juggle breaking news, analyses, features, photo assignments, info graphics and blogging/tweeting for the web/social media. They must be self-starters and “idea machines” who write accurately, quickly and cleanly, following AP style – and meet their deadlines.

They must be able to think visually and conceive of photo assignments and graphics to package their stories.

Send cover letter, resume and no more than 5 clips to jobs@hearstmediact.com.
