Great School Voices is looking for writers

Great School Voices wants writers to help continue Dirk Tillotson’s education work. The blog wants pitches on all things education in Oakland especially around the school closures/protests and evergreen pitches too.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Great School Voices is a watchdog on quality and equality in K-12 education, with an eye on Oakland, California. It is managed and curated by Dirk Tillotson who has worked for public education for many years, mostly in New York City and Oakland, with a particular focus on helping the best public charter schools thrive.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  • Pay is $350 for 1,000 words.
