Gray Television seeks a multimedia journalist – WALB News 10

WALB News 10 in Albany, Georgia is looking for a Multimedia Journalist to join our award-winning news team as the Valdosta Bureau MMJ. This news reporter will gather news daily in a variety of formats for multiple platforms on multiple broadcast and digital platforms.

WALB Multimedia Journalists are responsible for enterprising stories in their “beat” areas, and executing their development and presentation for newscasts, web content, and social media. They do this by generating news sources, developing daily story pitches, shooting and editing their content, interviewing newsmakers, and presenting their content in creative ways, including live news reporting. Working for a dominant legacy station that covers dozens of counties in South Georgia, you can inform, enlighten, and entertain our viewers, who consider WALB their Hometown News Source. Please note – the primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed above

Qualifications:

  • Education background of either journalism or communications
  • Must be flexible with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts
  • Must be willing to work in a newsroom
