From the growing popularity of online brokerages to the runaway real estate market, Canadians have never been hungrier for information that helps them make the right decisions about their finances – and Report on Business is growing to reflect that reality.
We’re hiring a full-time reporter focused on personal finance. This individual will cover a wide range of lifestyle money topics, from shopping for a mortgage, to retirement savings, to managing daily expenses and debt. Always putting our readers first, the reporter’s coverage will push beyond well-worn advice to offer new insights that are accessible to Canadians at every life stage, while also brining real value to those with in-depth financial knowledge.
The successful candidate will be able to monitor trends and financial news, while incorporating real people and their stories into their coverage. Drawing on strong collaboration skills, they will work with colleagues across the Globe Investing team and Report on Business to interpret how broader financial news will affect our readers’ personal finances. A background or interest in investing would be an asset.
