Future seeks a news editor

T3 is looking for an experienced news editor, with proven digital skills and an enviable contacts book, to take its news coverage to the next level. Results-driven, and with an uncanny eye for a story, you will be excited by the challenge of growing a dedicated audience and developing the site’s industry presence.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the editor-in-chief of T3, you will be responsible for growing, maintaining and enhancing the news output of the site, focusing on technology, living, outdoors, fitness and wellness, as well as streaming news spanning popular TV series and movies.

A key part of this role is the responsibility to ensure T3 is regularly breaking news stories ahead of rivals. This will involve playing a hands-on role in sourcing and developing news stories, as well as helping further develop the team’s skills in this area to ensure that T3+ is seen as the primary source of new and future technology products, covering all of our verticals.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve:

  • Experience of managing a small team of writers (including freelancers), and the passion to be able to develop their skill sets
  • A deep understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to quickly develop these skills
  • A fantastic contacts book and good relationships with industry figures
  • A passion for – and thorough understanding of – technology and entertainment

Salary: DoE

Closing date: 14:04 on 17 February 2023
